FØROYA SÍLAVEIÐIFELAG

Føroya Sílaveiðufelag is an old fishing association on the Faroe Islands and the members have been engaged in rearing and stocking wild atlantic salmon to fish after. There where fingerlings released in rivers in Skálabot, Sandá, Á Sandi and others.
Now you can fish for the Atlantic salmon in Leynavatn, Mjáuvøtn and Saksun.
The season starts normally late July and salmon keep on coming up to the lakes during September and even until mid of October.
